Students may complete the program entirely in Indonesia or study abroad at the Tucson, Arizona campus in the U.S. for a summer, semester, or longer. The palm-tree lined campus is known as one of the most beautiful in the country.
The Business Administration program prepares students to work in Indonesia, the surrounding Southeast Asia region, and beyond. Students gain an understanding of economic concepts and mathematical relationships, as well as analytical and communications skills to succeed in a variety of industries and operations.
The Industrial Engineering program combines engineering, business, and communications and builds upon knowledge of computer science, math, production management, process control, and human behavior. Students become competent in e-Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Distributions & Logistics, Production Planning & Control, Manufacturing Systems, Process Optimization, and Simulation Modeling.
Students learn to design, analyze, manufacture, and maintain mechanical systems in a variety of industries. Subject areas include: Dynamics and Controls; Mechanical Design; Nanotechnology; Thermal Sciences; and Solid and Fluid Mechanics. Students gain an understanding of physics, mathematics, and materials to design components ranging from cellular matrices for tissue engineering, to cooling systems for hot underground mines, to hardware for military machinery and medical prosthetics.
Creativity applies to more than research at ECE. The department is a leader in student-centered learning. Core classes incorporate discussion, one-on-one help, hands-on activities and team projects. Outside the classroom, internships, research and design projects, and activities in clubs and professional organizations help prepare students for success in areas as far-reaching as health care, energy and the business of high-tech.
The Information Management emphasis prepares students for careers in database administration, data analysis and engineering, web development and information architecture. Students learn the foundations of database systems, web design and programming, data visualization and analysis, as well as methods for visualizing, managing, and analyzing information.
Everything we do in Psychology is relevant to promoting health – understanding the basic circuitry of the mind and brain, promoting successful development and aging, and exploring the social, cultural, and environmental factors that influence behavior. Our faculty and students are creating innovative solutions to important problems that range from depression, Down syndrome, and Alzheimer’s disease to social problems like stereotyping, cultural bias, and family violence. By partnering with the community, we’re finding new ways to promote healthy lifestyles among people of all ages.
